Cemented Lenses
Cemented lenses consist of flint and crown glass elements bonded together, effectively compensating for material dispersion and eliminating chromatic aberration. Doublet cemented lenses are widely used in multi-wavelength illumination systems, medical instruments, and laser therapy equipment. Shenyang Yibet Optics offers a full range of cemented lenses—including standard achromats—as well as specialized options optimized for ultraviolet (UV), visible (VIS), or infrared (IR) spectral bands. Available anti-reflection (AR) coatings include UV-VIS, MgF₂, VIS 0°, VIS-NIR, NIR II, and SWIR. We also supply custom achromatic lenses specifically designed for UV or IR applications—delivering superior performance compared to off-the-shelf achromats calibrated for identical or comparable wavelength ranges. In addition, our aspheric achromats combine the color-correction power of achromatic designs with the exceptional spherical aberration control of aspheric surfaces. Triplet achromats are ideal for applications demanding 1:1 conjugate ratios or high-power magnification.

Cemented lenses are engineered to minimize—or fully eliminate—chromatic aberration. Their achromatic design also contributes meaningfully to spherical aberration correction. These lenses find broad application in fluorescence microscopy, image relay systems, inspection equipment, and spectroscopy. Manufacturing involves bonding two or more optical elements together; compared to singlets, achromatic lenses produce significantly smaller focused spots.
