Silicon windows are essential optical components widely employed in diverse fields. Optically, they feature a distinct transmission band. Physically, they combine high thermal conductivity with relatively low density. In terms of coating options, silicon windows support multiple anti-reflection (AR) configurations. When coated with AR films, surface reflectivity is significantly reduced—and transmittance correspondingly enhanced—within the designated wavelength range. Application-wise, silicon windows serve broad functions: they protect laser output from environmental interference and are ideal for beam sampling applications.
