A short-wave pass (SWP) filter transmits short-wavelength light while blocking longer wavelengths beyond its cutoff point. It features a broad cutoff bandwidth, deep blocking (high optical density), steep transition from transmission to blocking, and high in-band transmission efficiency. SWP filters are widely used in imaging optical systems, biometric identification, dashcams, microscopes, industrial cameras, optical instrumentation, and machine vision inspection—effectively eliminating out-of-band stray light to significantly enhance image clarity and system sensitivity.
