K9 Windows

K9 optical windows are widely used in the field of optics. From a material perspective, they are typically fabricated from H-K9L (also known as N-BK7) optical glass.

K9 optical windows find broad application across optical systems. The H-K9L (N-BK7) material offers excellent transmission across the visible to near-infrared spectrum (350–2000 nm), making it the most commonly selected optical glass for high-performance optical components. In terms of optical performance, K9 windows deliver high transmittance—exceeding 92% across the visible spectrum—ensuring sharp, high-fidelity imaging. Physically, K9 windows exhibit outstanding resistance to high temperatures and corrosion, enabling reliable operation in demanding and diverse environmental conditions. Regarding manufacturability, K9 glass is highly workable: it can be precisely ground, polished, and otherwise processed using standard optical fabrication techniques, allowing flexible customization to meet specific design requirements.
